Iran has launched another wave of missiles toward Israel early Tuesday, escalating tensions between the two nations, TRUETELLS Nigeria reports.
The fresh strikes reportedly followed earlier attacks that hit a building in northern Israel, while a loud explosion was also heard in Jerusalem. Iran’s state broadcaster, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, confirmed the attacks on its Telegram channel, claiming that some missiles penetrated Israeli defense systems.
Emergency responders in Israel confirmed damage to a building in the north, sharing video footage of the aftermath. Fortunately, officials reported no fatalities. The Israeli military said it detected incoming missiles and activated its defense systems.
The latest escalation comes hours after Israel conducted its own missile strikes on Iranian targets. Explosions were reported in Tehran, while Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates intercepted several missiles and drones amid mounting regional tensions.
According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), at least 40 critical energy facilities in the oil- and gas-rich region have suffered significant damage since the conflict began. IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol warned that continued disruption could have severe global economic consequences, emphasizing the urgent need for coordinated international efforts.
