INEC Opens Portal For Recruitment (See How To Apply)

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun the recruitment of ad-hoc election staff.

Truetells Nigeria  reports that the electoral body on Wednesday revealed its portal where eligible applicants can begin to apply for the role.

INEC in a post on its official Facebook page announced that the portal will be opened on Wednesday, September 14 until November 30, 2022, before it closes.

The statement read; “The Commission has approved the re-activation of INECPRES both the Mobile App for Android phones only and the web portal (laptops only).

“To this end the portal will be open to eligible applicants for registration of all categories of ad-hoc staff (SPO/PO/APO/RATECHS/RAC Managers) except the Collation officers.

“The portal opens on Wednesday the 14th of September and ends on the 30th November, 2022.”

INEC Gives Assurance On 2023 Election Results

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has given assurances that the results of the 2023 elections can’t be manipulated.

INEC said the nature of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) gives no room for the manipulation of results during electronic transmission.

The special adviser to the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, Prof. Mohammad Kuna gave the assurance on Tuesday in Abuja during a panel discussion at a two-day workshop organised by the National Peace Committee (NPC) headed by former Head of States, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd) and The Kukah Centre.
