Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali has ordered the clearance of impounded vehicles in police facilities across the country.
Alkali who gave the directive to police commissioners in the country during a meeting with top police officers at the International Peace Keeping Centre in Abuja on Monday June 7, said police premises should not be junkyards as is currently the case.
The IGP who had also ordered the suspension of the issuance of tint permits and spy number plates, said the measures are part of the efforts his administration is putting in place to combat the rising insecurity in the country.
