In the petition letter dated 17th March, 2023 the Labour Party alleged MC Oluomo through his utterances threatened the Igbos to stay at home during Saturday’s governorship and state assembly elections in Lagos if they won’t vote for APC and its governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The party further urged the secret police to arrest MC oluomo ahead of Saturday’s election.
The statement partly reads: “We write to draw your urgent attention to the inciteful, threatening and anti-democratic public utterance of one Musiliu Akinsanya known as MC Oluomo
“Mr Akinsanya is a staunch APC supporter and reportedly ‘the leader of APC’s violence enforcement team.’
“May we refer to a video which is available on social media where he is threatening voters based on ethno political sentiments. This is unacceptable.
“We are confident in the actions of the security forces at securing the lives of our supporters, we enjoin your office to take immediate actions at the arresting or inviting MC okluomo for further investigation.”
