I love Kanye West, says Tems

Tems, the Nigerian singer, has expressed her admiration for Kanye West, the US rapper.

In a recent chat on the ‘Shopping The Sneakers’ show, Craig Mitch, the host, asked if she is a fan of West.

Tems responded saying “I love Kanye West. I relate to him sometimes”.

The ‘Me & U’ hitmaker also spoke about her relationship with Brent Faiyaz, the American R&B singer.

She described Faiyaz as “a very good friend” whom she has known since 2021.

“He is a real one and he is always supportive. I have a couple of artistes I am close to and he is one of them,” she said.

Tems gained popularity in 2020, courtesy of her collaboration with Wizkid, the Afrobeats singer, on the song ‘Essence’.

In the same year, she released her debut extended play (EP) titled ‘For Broken Ears’. She delivered ‘Born In The Wild’, her debut album, on June 7.

Last year, the songstress won her first-ever Grammy award for her role in ‘Wait for U’, the 2022 hit song by Future featuring Drake.

Her song ‘Love Me Jeje’ recently made the summer playlist of Barack Obama, the former US president.

West, on the other hand, is considered one of the most successful rappers in the world. He has won 24 Grammy Awards.
