How APC Leaders Plan To Use Obe’s Second Term To Return Ambode 2023- Ejigbo Youth Group

Youth in Ejigbo under the umbrella of Ejigbo Youth Vanguard (EYV), on Monday, said plans to use the second term of the incumbent Chairman of the Local Council, Alhaji Mosuru Bello OBE, by some leaders of the party in the area to restore the second coming of the former Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode in 2023 has been uncovered.

The youth group, in a letter written to the Executive Governor of the state, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, co-signed by the Coordinator, Agbabiaka Rasheed Abudllahi, Vice Chairman, Ms Ngozi Aburime, General Secretary,Ndubuisi Paul Benedict and Publicity Secretary, Adewale Ibrahim Audu, said that the incumbent Chairman and the immediate past Commissioner For Information, Mr Kehinde Bamigbetan were both leaving no stone unturned to return the immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode come 2023.

They added ” We have both analysed the body language and practical field activities of Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan,Chief Henry Ajomale and the Apex Leader of Ambode’s group (Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko), Barrister Abdulateef Abdulhakeem.

” Unfortunately Sir, the above supposed Leaders had concluded plans to use Ejigbo Local Council Development Area and our constituency II( Oshodi-Isolo II) as testing ground for the second coming of the former Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.

” Sir, we are fully ready to resist their game plan. All of us are members of APC and shall resist this evil move.

” We hereby reiterate that the worst part of it is that the incumbent Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA , Alhaji Monsuru Bello Obe and Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan are both leaving no stone unturned to return the immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode come 2023.

” In fact Sir, from our well detailed research, it is unfortunate that it is Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan is that is the apex Leader of those clamouring for the second coming of Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.

” We will not wait and watch them and their cohorts destroy Ejigbo LCDA. They want to use Ejigbo LCDA as the place to launch the restoration of Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. We totally reject them”.

The youth explained ” However, the recent development in Ejigbo LCDA has not really impressed us. The state of our roads in Ejigbo and financial recklessness of the incumbent Chairman , Alhaji Monsuru Bello Obe has gone haywire. He has used the Commonwealth of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area to acquire filling stations, seventy landed properties in and outside Ejigbo LCDA and these the youths have seen and are not convenient with.

” How can a man whom we collectively worked for having been picked by his Party , All Progressives Congress now work against the same party, and even issue threats to encourage the opponents, PDP to win in subsequent elections.

” We have therefore resolved that if either Alhaji Monsuru Bello Obe or Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan is fielded in future elections, we will not go out to vote. We shall mobilise the women , senior citizens and youths to boycott elections. This is main reason why we had less than three thousands votes in the Ejigbo LCDA during the local government elections in 2017.

” We humbly appeal to you to use your good office to stop the candidacy of Alhaji Monsuru Bello Obe in the forthcoming local government elections. He has ruined the economic viability of Ejigbo LCDA.

” The incumbent Chairman has used our commonwealth for his personal aggrandisement. He has enriched himself and family. We don’t want him.

” In lieu of the above, we want Mr Peter Ajayi whose vision and courage represent what we stand for. We want fresh ideas in dispensing governance here at Ejigbo LCDA.

” Without mincing words, he singlehandedly reached out to quite innumerable number of people during the lockdown and festive periods.

” We want to plead to you to oblige us by giving us Hon. Peter Ajayi as the next Executive Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA”.
