Osun Speaker, Timothy Owoeye and some of his aides are receiving treatment in a hospital after his convoy was involved in an accident on Thursday, October 13.
The Speaker was heading to Osogbo from Ilesha after an official assignment when a vehicle going to Ilesha lost control as a result of heavy rainfall and rammed into the Speaker’s convoy going to Osogbo.
Media aide of the Speaker, Kunle Alabi confirmed the accident.
He said: “It was a head-on collision along Osogbo/Ilesha road. Speaker and his aides that were injured have been taken to hospital for medical attention.
“The Speaker is fine but they have to check him very well to ensure that he is not in any way injured. I can’t confirm to you the numbers of his aides that were injured but nobody died in the accident.”
