In an interview with the General Manager of Hotcoal basketball team Ubong udoh said that the technical and management team did an excellent job in putting together a team in a very short period of time despite the fact that they lost some players to other clubs.
“We lost 8 players before the season and had to rebuild the team all over in a very short window”
He added that the Hotcoal values of hardwork, discipline, and focus have been transferred to the team.
Ubong stressed that his plans for basketball in Nigeria is to plant the seed and grow a basketball model in the country that will create a moral value system, where kids can learn to maximize their potential through sport so they can get opportunities for educational, professional, career and financial growth.
Also speaking the coordinator of Abuja City Basketball league Opeyemi Ogunleye, promised that the next season of the league will be more entertaining with more competition.
Opeyemi said this year Abuja. City Basketball league was full of suspense from week 1 to the finals.
