Some gunmen have reportedly killed a Point of Sales (POS) operator in Ebonyi State.
The victim identified as Louis Enoshi, was said to be a native of Umuogudu-Akpu, Ngbo in the Ohaukwu local government area of the state.
The incident according to reports, happened on Wednesday when some unidentified individuals raided his residence in Ezzamgbo demanding money from him.
He was said to have been shot and killed during the raid; his mobile phone, cash and POS machine were alao stolen.
A resident of the area, who simply gave his name as Nwaebonyi, said the incident shook the entire neighbourhood.
“In the early hours of today, 28th February 2024, at about 2am; Mr. Enoshi Louis, a native of Ndiagu Orie of Umuogudu-Akpu Ngbo, was shot in his residence at Ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu LGA; Ebonyi State, by unidentified armed persons.
“He died on the spot, they made away with his Firstmonie POS, physical cash, and phones, leaving the wife who is pregnant with two kids devastated,” Nwaebonyi said.
Meanwhile, the police in Ebonyi have remained silent over the incident as the Command’s spokesperson, Joshua Ụkandu, did not take his calls nor respond to a text message.
