A staff of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FRSC) identified as Khalid Bichi has been reportedly shot dead by some unidentified gunmen in the Maitama area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
A security source which shared the incident on its X (formerly Twitter) account, on Saturday, said Bichi was trailed by the assailants and shot at several times about 9pm.
The security analyst, who also shared the pictures of the deceased in the post revealed that the FRIS staff had gone to get food around Maitama when the incident happened.
“Khalid Bichi, a Staff of FIRS with social media X handle @Khalid_Bichi, was trailed by his killers and shot many times after he went to get food around Maitama at about 9pm.
“He was rushed to Maitama General Hospital where he eventually died. Mr Bichi, is a friend to influential politicians.
“He will be laid to rest by 1:30pm today after a funeral prayer at the Abuja National Mosque.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian with X handle @Deblak26 had also revealed that his friend was stabbed and the assailants took away his phone and swiped his data according.
He wrote: “My friend was stabbed and his phone taken away in Garki. They also withdrew all the money in his account. This is one of the many incidences happening in the heart of Abuja.”
Meanwhile SaharaReporters’ efforts to speak with the Federal Capital Territory Police Command on the incident were unsuccessful as the Command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, did not take her calls as at the time of filing this report.
