GTCO Food and Drink Festival 2025: A Shared Experience of Culture, Cuisine, and Enterprise

The excitement is palpable as Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) announces the much-anticipated 8th edition of the GTCO Food and Drink Festival, set to take place from Friday, May 2nd to Sunday, May 4th, 2025, at the GTCentre, located at Plot 1 Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This year’s festival, themed “A Shared Experience,” aims to highlight the stories embedded in every meal—narratives of culture, community, and tradition that connect people across generations and borders. Attendees can look forward to 204 free retail stalls showcasing the vibrant diversity of Nigeria’s culinary scene, featuring everything from traditional dishes and regional specialties to contemporary fusion cuisines, savory snacks, refreshing beverages, and gourmet desserts.

In addition to the diverse food offerings, the festival will host a series of engaging masterclasses led by internationally acclaimed chefs and culinary experts. These sessions will provide practical insights, recipes, and techniques that span various cuisines, making them a must-see for food enthusiasts.

The festival promises an expansive street food arena, where visitors can indulge in popular local delicacies, alongside a dedicated children’s play area designed to ensure a fun and safe environment for families.

Mr. Segun Agbaje, the Group Chief Executive Officer of GTCO Plc, emphasized the festival’s significance, stating, “The GTCO Food and Drink Festival is a celebration of our rich cultural diversity and entrepreneurial spirit. Every meal shared is a reminder of our traditions and the universal language of food that connects us all. Beyond the festivities, the festival reflects our commitment to supporting local enterprise—creating a free business platform where food retailers can connect with consumers, share their unique offerings, and take meaningful steps toward growth and long-term sustainability.”

At the heart of the festival is GTCO’s mission to promote enterprise, particularly supporting indigenous foodpreneurs. This initiative aligns with the Group’s broader commitment to creating Great Experiences for customers through meaningful opportunities for connection, growth, and shared success.

Admission to the GTCO Food and Drink Festival is free, welcoming everyone to partake in this extraordinary celebration of food, culture, and enterprise. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this vibrant event that promises to be a feast for the senses!
