Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting religious harmony, unity, and inclusive governance across the state.
Speaking on Friday during a special Jum’at Service at the Akure Central Mosque, part of activities leading up to his inauguration on Monday, the governor expressed gratitude to the Muslim community for their unwavering support.
“Our administration remains dedicated to fostering inclusivity in governance. We will continue to promote religious harmony and peaceful coexistence among all religious groups in Ondo State,” Governor Aiyedatiwa assured.
He also reiterated his dedication to policies that prioritize development, equity, and the overall welfare of the people, irrespective of religious affiliations.
Muslim Leaders Commend Gov Aiyedatiwa’s Leadership
The Chief Imam of Akure, Alhaji Abdulhakeem Yayi-Akorede, led prayers for Governor Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, emphasizing that leadership, as prescribed in the Qur’an, requires knowledge, physical strength, and divine guidance.
He urged the governor to continue leading with justice, fairness, and a commitment to the people’s welfare.
The Chief Imam further commended the governor’s infrastructural achievements, particularly improvements in road networks, and appreciated his support for the Muslim Welfare Board, describing it as a reflection of his inclusive governance and respect for religious institutions.
He called on residents to continue praying for the governor’s success, stressing that leadership requires patience and collective support to drive meaningful development.
