Digital Solutions Company, Globacom, in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture, has launched M-Agric, an innovative agricultural support service aimed at promoting food sufficiency and empowering Nigerian farmers.
This groundbreaking initiative offers practical guidance on managing successful farming businesses across various sectors, including livestock, aquaculture, cash crops, and value-additions.
“M-Agric is a unique lottery service that provides users with daily, weekly, or monthly agricultural tips and trivia questions, enabling them to grow their own food and earn extra income. Users will receive messages on their mobile devices and participate in quizzes to win fantastic cash prizes, farm equipment, and internship opportunities”, said Globacom in a press statement in Lagos.
The company said the partnership was unveiled to encourage young, savvy, and informed Nigerians to engage in farming thus driving the country towards food sufficiency and affordability.
Globacom explained that subscription options include NGN 50 daily, NGN 200 weekly, and NGN 500 monthly, with a free 24-hour trial for new and existing subscribers, adding that weekly draw to select winners based on their performance in the trivia questions associated with each agricultural package will be conducted at the end of every week. Only 2 top scorers will be eligible for fantastic prizes.
Those who want to participate are required to dial _20791_2# and follow the prompts to win in the lottery service.
