Former NLC Deputy President, Akinlaja Buries Mother-In-Law As Mimiko, PENGASSAN & NUPENG Presidents, Other Dignitaries Make Roll Call

 

Uyi grand international event centre, GRA Benin City, was filled to the brim as family, well wishers, notable politicians, leaders of Oil and Gas Unions, and business moguls gathered to celebrate the life of late madam Rachael Olague, mother- in-law of former Deputy President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joseph Iranola Akinlaja.

The auspicious and historic reception party took place on Saturday November 30, 2024.

It is recalled that the late Olague matriarch passed away in Benin City on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

Undoubtedly, it was a day of honor to the former General Secretary of NUPENG and former federal lawmaker (Akinlaja) and his wife, Queen Philomena Akinlaja (nee Olague) as well as her siblings, Eugene, Nekpen and Andrew, as they all received phenomenal turnout from guests from all strata of society including politicians from all over the states for the celebration of life and times of their late mother and grand mother.

The event was attended by the who-is-who in the social circuit such as former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko and his beloved wife Olukemi.

Also on the roll call was the President of PENGASSAN, Comrade Festus Osifo, President of NUPENG, Comrade Williams Eniredonana Akporeha, former National Chairman of Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD) and current national Trustee of NUPENG, Otunba Salimon Akanni Oladiti (JP), serving national Chairman of PTD, Comrade Augustine Egbon, PTD Ex-Offico Comrade Israel Okougbo, Comrade Omokero and the leadership of IPMAN.

Others are, Lagos Zonal Chairman of NUPENG, Comrade Tayo Aboyeji, Zonal Chairman of NUPENG Warri, Comrade (Chief) Innocent Iyere, Secretary of Lagos Zone of PTD, Comrade Ade Akinlaja, Comrade Israel Okougbo, Secretary of NNPC Retail Terminal 1 Unit of PTD, Comrade Sunday Sobowale, Financial Secretary of Rain Oil Unit, Comrade Charles Akinwande and the executives and members of Joseph Akinlaja Foundation (JAFO).
