A footage has surfaced showing some operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) allegedly assaulting guests and staff at the Annex and Regional hotels in Isashi, Lagos.
A Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage captured the moment when the operatives forcibly entered a hotel room and physically assaulted a woman, who was wearing a nightgown, slapping her repeatedly.
The operatives didn’t know that CCTV was in the room, as the five personnel ransacked the room after driving the young woman out of the room.
The incident has raised concerns about the use of excessive force by the EFCC operatives.
According to the footage obtained by SaharaReporters, operatives of the EFCC were seen firing their weapons sporadically within the hotel premises, causing alarm and terrorising the innocent guests who were present at the hotel to relax.
The footage captures the chaotic scene, raising concerns about the use of excessive force by the EFCC operatives.

Meanwhile, Nigerians commenting on the incident have condemned the assault on the young woman and crude method and impunity with which the Nigerian security agents maltreated the people at the slight opportunity.
They called on Nigerians to rise up and defend their freedom, insisting that until Nigerians adopts the Kenya style of protest, Nigerian political leaders would not care and stop the impunity.
