Five Persons Electrocuted, Four Injured While Mounting Billboard

No fewer than five young men in Rivers State have been said to have suffered electrocution while attempting to install a billboard using a metal frame.

Truetells Nigeria reports that four others are still battling for survival at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) where they were rushed to for treatment.

The incident occurred at Obiri-Ikwerre area of Rumuosi Community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

SaharaReporters learnt that the victims were mounting the bill board structure with a metal frame that conducted current when it touched a high-tension cable.

The current gripped and shocked five of them to death while four others were said to be battling for survival.

The police are yet to make an official statement regarding the incident.
