Five persons lost their lives in a ghastly accident along the Kaduna-Abuja road on Christmas day.
Alhaji Musa Arungo whose house is close to the scene of the accident told DAILY POST in Kaduna that the accident occurred on Sunday.
“I was in my house when I heard a loud sound like thunderstorm. Dust covered everywhere, and I was frightened because I didn’t really know what happened. After sometime, the dust settled and I saw people running towards that direction,” he said.
According to him, 21 people were involved in the accident, and the injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
He said the dead bodies of one adult man, two women, and two identical twins wearing the same clothes were found.
He said the dead bodies were deposited at St. Gerald Hospital.
Confirming the incident, the FRSC Acting Sector Commander, Lawal Garba, said the injured were responding to treatment, adding that the accident was caused by overspeeding with dangerous overtaking.
“Five people died in the accident. One adult, two women and two children in the same cloth like twins, while the injured were taken to different hospitals,” he said.
