Lexshield Property Ltd has lauded efforts from Lagos state and investors in curbing real estate fraud.
Managing Director, Lexshield Properties Limited, Adedayo Ajayi, said that investors are no longer vulnerable as they engage due diligence before buying any property.
He disclosed this at the official signing of Brand Ambassador and Realtors Incentive Awards in Lagos.
He noted that before people didn’t see the property they want to buy, but now they verify the lands and firm before taking any investment decision.
He added that the accreditation process from governing bodies have been helpful in reducing fraudulent activities.
“Accreditation processes are now stricter. Lagos State has associations that help regulate the sector and masses are equipped with better information now. People now also involve their lawyers in the business transaction,” he said.
Ajayi added that social media is also platform to checkmate activities as people can bring any misappropriation and mistreatment online.
He explained that the Awards was an effort to appreciate staff and people that have believed in the vision. Nollywood actress, Wunmi Toriola was also unveiled as the brand ambassador of LexShield Propety Ltd.
He explained that a way the firm differentiates itself is by keeping to its Project timing, which they also use to mark their activities.
He said they have had to fight for relevance as the sector is a tough one. He added that they started with just one estate and now have more than 100 acres in it and multi other estates.
