Fire Razes TV Station In Nigeira.
Truetells Nigeria reports that Hi-Impact TV, Nigeria’s first full HD Television Studio in Ogun has been razed down by fire.
The fire incident at the TV station located in the premises of Hi-Impact Planet Amusements Park & Resort at Kilometre 12 Lagos-Ibadan Express way, Ibafo in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun, reportedly occurred on Thursday August 12.
Ogun State Fire Services which confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday August 13, said the fire was traced to a power surge which was quickly curtailed and extinguished by the firefighters.
Though no life was lost, it was gathered that valuables in the studio were burnt to ashes. Ogun State Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Barrister Femi Ogunbanwo and the Director of the State Fire Services, Fatai Adefala had visited the scene on behalf of the State Government to sympathise with the management and staff over the incident.
