Arsenal coach and former Blaugrana player Mikel Arteta has provided a positive update on his condition after being diagnosed with Covid-19 on Thursday.
The Arsenal manager wrote on Twitter: “Thanks for your words and support. Feeling better already. We’re all facing a huge and unprecedented challenge.
“Everyone’s health is all that matters right now. Protect each other by following the guidelines and we’ll come through this together. Well done Premier League for making the right decisions.”
All Premier action has been postponed at least until April 3. Similarly, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 have put the season on hold.
For now, at least three matches involving Barcelona have been suspended: vs Mallorca and Leganes in La Liga and against Napoli in the Champions League.
Arteta joined Barca’s academy when he was only 15. He played 42 games for Barcelona B but failed to make at least one appearance for the seniors.
