Eruption of Political Revolution in South West

A COMMUNIQUE REACHED BY SOUTHWEST STAKE HOLDERS IN IBADAN OYO STATE, NIGERIA.

A convergence of South Western stakeholders met today at Teachers House Samonda to critically and logically brainstorm on how to save the Nigeria State out of this present political, Economic and Social doldrums; Because there is no point denying the fact that the two major political parties in charge of Nigeria’s Political climate have failed our people and it is also apparent that the present crop of leadership in our polity are absolutely clueless and totally bereft of ideas, hence the reasons for all manners of abnormalities which point to the fact that Nigeria State is not just falling by the day, but that it has failed completely to meet the yearnings and aspirations of our people. To address this present State of political social and economic quagmire, therefore these brilliant minds resolved that there is need to put in place a very viable, virile and vibrant opposition platform that will henceforth begin to engage the present two political parties majorly on the type of policies and programmes they roll out to our people which to a greater extent have not made any meaningful or significant impact on the lives of our people. This platform, gradually would metamorphose into a political movement that would sensitize, orientate and educate the Nigeria masses on what they need to know about series of political lies, propaganda, intrigues, shinanigans that had so far been played on their psyche especially in the area of Petrol Subsidy, poor electricity supply, state of insecurity in the state, the issue of unemployment among our youth and so on. To achieve the aforementioned therefore, members of this Forum therefore, collectively agreed on the following resolutions; which are:That there is a need to raise the awareness/consciousness of the populace especially at this period, when the election is fast approaching. So that the populace would not be fooled again by lunatic, unpatriotic, fraudulent, and manipulative tendencies of our conventional politicians.That each state in the Federation should as a matter of urgency put in place a visible active and functional structure that will attracts the Youths, Market Women, Artisans, Academics, and Professionals etc. within the next 21 days.That the Southern region should produce the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.That in order for us to have a recognized identity, they all agreed that all members irrespective of party affiliation or ideological leaning should form a coalition under the structure of the African Democratic Congress.That members of the platform should as a matter of alacrity commence membership mobilization drive across wards, local government, and state levels as election is less than a year.That members states are advice to begin to invite interested candidates into the platform and ward meetings.That mass mobilization of Nigerian populace towards the third force agenda should begin immediately under the platform of African Democratic Congress.
