#EndSARS: Two Policemen Killed, 10 Police Stations Burnt In Lagos (Full List)

Lagos State Police Command has revealed that two policemen were killed and 10 police stations burnt by hoodlums during #EndSARS protest in Lagos.

 

TruetellsNigeria gathered from a statement issued by Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Muyiwa Adejobi that two policemen were killed at Orile Police Stations, while many others were wounded at various police stations, saying that 10 police stations were set ablaze.

 

He noted that the violent and criminally-minded hoodlums descended on police stations/facilities and gruesomely murdered two policemen on Tuesday 20th October 2020 and Wednesday 21st October 2020, while others were critically injured, as they looted the affected stations and carted away from some valuables.

 

“Some of the other affected police stations include :

1. Idimu
2. Igando
3. Layeni
4. Denton
5. Ilenbe Hausa
6. Ajah
7. Amukoko
8. Ilasa
9. Cele Outpost under Ijesha, disbanded SARS officer under Ajegunle
10. Ebute-Ero Mushin (Olosan) where two policemen were shot by the hoodlums
11. Ojo and Ajegunle where 2 patrol vans each were set ablaze.

 

“Similarly, the hoodlums attacked three (3) new generation banks on Tuesday 20th October and Wednesday 21st October, 2020, respectively, and carted away unspecified amount of money while some parts of the banks were set on fire before they were dislodged, and some of them were arrested with the loots from the banks, including arms and ammunition.

“At Ajegunle Area, they burnt the Secretariat of Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Council and some valuables including cars; and some other private medical and commercial centres were attacked.

“Today, Wednesday 21st October 2020, the hoodlums again launched series of attack on many facilities within Lagos State such as the:

1. Palace of Oba of Lagos
2. Shoprite Ajah
3. Nigerian Port Authority head office Marina
4. Governor’s mother’s house at Akerele
5. VIO/Federal Road Safety Corps offices at Ojodu
6. Magistrate Courts, Igbosere,
7. TVC station
8. The Nation Newspapers office and many other shops/malls were looted.

Adejobi said due to the persistent attacks and mayhem caused by the hoodlums, four people have been injured while others lost their lives.

“The Command wishes to reiterate that in as much as we respect people’s opinions and rights, it will not allow the present situation degenerate to anarchy and general insecurity where hoodlums will have free days to kill, destroy and loot people’s property with impunity.

“The command will repel any group of individuals that might want to continue with these heinous and barbaric acts across the state,” he said.
