Elon Musk Deletes Social Media Post Mentioning Donald Trump’s Name In Epstein Files

American billionaire, Elon Musk, has deleted a social media post alleging United States president, Donald Trump’s name was mentioned in the Jeffrey Epstein files, sparking speculation about their escalating feud.

Musk had claimed Trump’s name in the files was the real reason they hadn’t been made public, saying, “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

The explosive post had come amid a bitter public clash between Musk and Trump, which began when Musk criticised Trump’s “Big Beautiful” spending bill, calling it a “disgusting abomination”.

Trump had responded by saying he was “disappointed” with Musk, hinting at reviewing Musk’s federal contracts.

Musk had countered, stating, “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House, and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.”

The feud intensified with Trump suggesting he’d cancel Musk’s federal contracts, and Musk threatening to decommission the NASA-used Falcon rocket.

Musk later backed down from this threat. The billionaire also floated the idea of a new political party, “The America Party”, after a poll showed 80% of respondents supported the idea.

The Epstein files refer to a collection of investigation documents compiled by US federal authorities after analysing Jeffrey Epstein’s activities.

Epstein was a financier and convicted sex offender accused of running a network exploiting underage girls.

The files include flight logs, contact lists, court records, and other materials detailing his associations with high-profile individuals.

Some Epstein files were released in January 2024, following a US federal judge’s order to unseal records from a 2015 defamation lawsuit.

Additional documents were declassified by the US Department of Justice and FBI in February 2025.

However, many documents remain sealed, prompting public requests for full declassification.

According to reports, Trump’s name appeared in Epstein’s flight logs as a passenger on his private jet seven times in the 1990s.

However, there’s no evidence implicating Trump in Epstein’s crimes.

Musk also shared a video from 1992 showing Trump socialising with Epstein, but this video was later deleted along with Musk’s post about Trump’s name in the Epstein files.
