……..Begins with Inter-denominational Prayers for Deceased and Living Members.
The prestigious Eko Club has kick-started its 50th anniversary with a special New Year interdenominational prayers for both the deceased and the living members.
In his welcome address at the short, eventful and impactful program at the weekend, the President ,of the club, Mr Razaak Olugbenga Amodu, said that there was a great need to appreciate God for his mercy and guidance on the living members and that God should in his infinite mercy repose the soul of the deceased members.
He, however, commended the initiative of the 93 founding fathers, who in their revered wisdom established the club, saying, “their vision has become members’ pride today”.
He further commended both living and dead for their immense contributions that have made the club the entity it has become, affirmed that “without these members, the club would not have attained so much in the last 50 years of existence”, Amodu said.
He also added that the club has been reinvigorated with the expansion of its assets, both physical and temporary, added that the club witnessed the induction of new members, individual growth and a deepened interpersonal relationship with a lot still to be unveiled.
He also seeks for continued support through prompt payment of annual dues, donations and most especially words of advice to move the prestigious club to the greater ground of achievements, especially now that the club clocks Golden year of existence.
Additionally, the Executive Committee of the Club heartily appreciate all families of the deceased members and Blessed Members of Eko Club for the successful and sustenance of the annual interdenominational prayer for all members both late and living.
Also extended specially appreciation to the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Lagos Branch as well as Wesley Cathedral Methodist Church, Olowogbowo for not only officiating the prayers for all members (deceased & alive) but also for leading the prayers to kickstart the 50th Anniversary of Eko Club, which without doubt was successful, enviable and admirable as far as the turnout of the event is concerned, while he do pray that God in his infinite mercies accept the prayers for all members of Eko Club in general.

the family of deceased members of Eko club have commended the current President, Mr Razaak Amodu and his Executive members for the show of love on their deceased members who were members of Eko club when they we’re alive.
Some of the children of the deceased members who are females also suggested that they should be allowed to be members of the prestigious club.
