Eko Club 2024 AGM: Amodu Promises Commitment to Sustain Vision of Founding Fathers

 

The President of the foremost indigenous club, EKO Club, Mr Razaak Olugbenga Amodu, has re-affirmed his commitment to diligently leverage and sustain the vision of founding fathers with formidable and dynamic Exco members of EKO Club.

The President stated this at the weekend at the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Blessings Hall of the Club in Bode Thomas, Surulere, Lagos.

The meeting brought together stakeholders’, board members, and elders of the Club to review the Club’s performance over the past year and discuss strategic plans for the future.

In his Presidential address, the President of the Club, Mr Razaak Amodu, emphasized his earlier pronouncement during the inception of his administration, where by he promised to diligently leverage and sustain the vision and legacy of the founding fathers with his formidable and dynamic Exco members, adding that he and his executive has moral responsibility to be accountable in all their dealings and a constitutional duty to present a detailed report of activities to members bi-annually.

Also at the event, the President said the twin objective of efficiency and effectiveness have been the hallmark of his administration, especially, in the utilisation of funds, just as added that ” our administration have undertaken financial decision with strategic planning and diligent efforts to ensure financial stability and enhance viability of our collective patrimony”, Amodu said.

Reacting, members overwhelmingly voiced their approval of the Club’s strong financial performance, thus urged the Club and the executive to maintain its focus.

However, the President expressed appreciation to Almighty God, especially for the successful Golden Jubilee Anniversary of the Club, just as he promised to continue to uphold the tenets of the Constitution that binds members together as the norms and traditions that strengthens members as brethren.

“Let me re-emphasise that at this time of our Golden Jubilee Anniversary, we have every reason to be grateful to Almighty God, the founding fathers, elders, and other blessed members. We promise to continue to uphold the tenets of the Constitution that binds us together as well as the norms and traditions that strengthens our ties as brethren”, Amodu said
