Desmond Elliot turns off the comment section of his Social Media

Desmond Elliot, the lawmaker representing Surulere constituency in the Lagos state house of assembly has turned off the comment section of his Instagram handle.

TruetellsNigeria understands that this is coming after he was called out by Nigerians including his former colleagues in the entertainment industry over his comment about social media during a plenary at the house.

A video of Desmond’s statement at the House of Assembly which has now been made public, showed him calling on the speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly to “address certain things” like “the Nigerian youth, the social media, the social influencers.”

He added “All of these are making the narratives that we are seeing today. Except we’re joking with ourselves. Social media, though good, has its negative impacts.”

A look at some of his Instagram post shows she turned off his comments.
