The Customs Area Controller of Kebbi Command Comptroller Iheanacho Ernest Ojike extends hands of blessings to the leaders of tomorrow by paying a charity visit to Gwandu Emirates primary school on Tuesday, 10 December 2024 in Kebbi State.

The controller on his visit donated writing materials such as books, pencils, biros, and foodstuffs to over 1,700 pupils of the famous Gwandu Emirate Model Primary School, Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi State.

During the session, he emphasized that the charity visit to the school was meant to interact with the pupils to highlight the mandate of Customs as provisioned by the federal government constitution and draw their attention to the need for them to understand the laws of the land and contribution of Customs to National economy.

He further stressed the need for the pupils to understand the effect of smuggling on the national economy and why Nigerians should not indulge in such nefarious acts.

While Malam Aminu Sani the headmaster accepts the donations, he describes the gesture as a form of support to the pupils. Also, he portrays Nigeria Customs as a compassionate and responsible government organization.

Furthermore, the representative of the Emirates Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Bashir KKB Galadiman Gwandu said the chairman of the council of chiefs, emir of Gwandu Alhaji Iliyasu Bahir is extending his heartfelt message and blessings to the controller and his team for this kind gesture.
