The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on Wednesday, 17 April 2024, paid a courtesy visit to the Voice of Nigeria (VON) Corporate Headquarters.
The CGC, who was warmly welcomed by the Director General of Voice of Nigeria, Malam Jibrin Baba Ndache, acknowledged his achievements, stating, “The comments about you are that of joy and your achievements are highly commendable. You’ve reached out to several and necessary stakeholders, and you have partnered with many media organisations. The reason for welcoming you to our corporate headquarters personally is to thank you for your continuous and immense support to VON.”
He also appreciated the CGC’s commitment, asserting, “Your pedigree and integrity preceded you before becoming Comptroller-General.”
“You are an astute and brilliant Public Relations expert, a leader per excellence with adequate and vibrant experience since the days you were Vice President and the Vice Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations.”
He assured the CGC of his continuous support to the coverage of NCS activities. The DG further instructed reporters to prioritise every report of the Nigeria Customs Service in all eight languages aired by VON.
