Ikenga Ugochinyere, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the house of representatives election held for Ideato north and south constituency on Saturday, February 25.
The spokesperson Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), was declared winner of the election by Onwuachu Chinyere, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer, on Sunday, February 26.
Ugochinyere polled 13,026 votes to defeat Pascal Obi, candidate of the Labour Party (LP) who secured 5696 votes. Chika Abazu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), came third after polling 2368.
