Court Slams Oyetola, APC With N500,000 Cost As Adeleke Wins

The former governor of Osun State and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gboyega Oyetola, and his party have been slammed with N500,000 cost by the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja.

Oyetola and the APC were slammed by the appellate court following the judgement which affirmed the State Governor, Ademola Adeleke as the governor of Osun State.

Truetells Nigeria had earlier reported that the Court of Appeal on Friday vacated the tribunal judgement that nullified the election of Adeleke in the July 16th, 2022 governorship election.

A three-member panel of Justices in an unanimous decision held that the appeal Adeleke lodged to challenge his sack by the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, was meritorious.

Following the ruling, Justice Mohammed Lawal, awarded N500,000 cost against the APC and its candidate, Oyetola
