Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 296 New COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria

NCDC has confirmed 296 new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria.

TruetellsNigeria reports that the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday evening, 8th September 2020, confirmed 296 new cases of coronavirus disease infection in Nigeria.

The new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed via a statement on the official Twitter handle of the health agency.

The development brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 55,456 which includes 43,334 dischargedcases and 1,067 deaths.

Below is the breakdown of the latest cases according to states with Plateau State recording the highest number of new confirmed cases, followed by Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
