CJN Tanko Sons Grab PDP, APC Tickets For National Assembly Election

Sons of the Chief Judge of the Federation Justice Ibrahim Tanko have clinched National Assembly tickets of the two major political parties in Nigeria ahead of the 2023 election.

The two sons of the CJN grabbed the tickets of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

One of his sons, Siraj Ibrahim Tanko, grabbed the ticket of the APC for Bauchi North Senatorial seat, Daily Trust reports.

Ibrahim Tanko defeated the incumbent Senator representing the constituency, Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa.

Truetells Nigeria learned that Siraj polled 189 votes to defeat Imba, his closest rival who secured 177 votes while Bulkachuwa did not get any vote.

 

The other son of the CJN, Sani Ibrahim Tanko, won the PDP Primary election in Shira Giafe Federal Constituency of the House of Representatives.

 

It was gathered that Sani Ibrahim Tanko was elected unopposed.
