CBI Digital Media Launches CBI News Mobile App: A Game Changer for Africa’s Digital Media Landscape

CBI Digital Media, the parent company of CBI News, has officially unveiled the CBI News Mobile App, a cutting-edge platform set to transform how news and information are created, shared, and experienced across Africa.

At the launch event at the Lagos Marriott Hotel, Managing Director Mr. Gbenga Adebija articulated the company’s ambition to lead Africa’s digital media revolution by telling authentic African stories with credibility and creativity.

The CBI News App represents a significant stride in expanding the company’s reach and enhancing audience engagement throughout Nigeria, Africa, and beyond. Designed for timely and balanced news coverage, it aims to capture the continent’s pulse.

Mr. Adebija described the app as more than just a digital product; it is a movement—an empowerment platform for engagement and enlightenment. He announced that CBI Digital Media is set to introduce a series of groundbreaking initiatives aimed at redefining the media landscape.

The launch underscores the company’s dedication to innovation, integrity, and impact. Distinguished guests, including representatives from the Bank of Industry, Polaris Bank, and Fidelity Bank, were in attendance to witness this pivotal moment.

Founder and Group Chief Executive Emperor Chris Baywood Ibe has been a driving force behind the company’s vision to shape Africa’s narrative and brand identity. His philosophy, “Changing the Game, Owning the Space,” reflects a commitment to setting new media and technology standards.

In his speech, Emperor Ibe emphasized that CBI News is more than a profit-driven venture; it aims to empower Africa to tell its own story without filters. He passionately advocated for a platform where data, fact-checking, and storytelling coexist, urging support for young journalists dedicated to truth-telling in a challenging landscape.

He concluded with a powerful call to action: “The world does not change when we speak. The world changes when truth speaks—through us.”

The CBI News App is now available for download on both iOS and Android, providing users with comprehensive access to diverse news content, including politics, business, entertainment, and sports.
