Former Chief of Army Staff and Nigeria’s current Ambassador to Benin Republic, Tukur Buratai on Wednesday July 28, met with President Patrice Talon of of Benin Republic.
Though it was gathered that Buratai met with the Beninese President to present his letter of credence to him, the meeting is however coming amid the arrest of self-styled Yoruba leader, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho in the neighboring country.
Recall that Igboho was arrested in Cotonou, capital of Benin Republic, while trying to escape to Germany after his residence was raided by Department of State Services (DSS) operatives who subsequently declared him wanted.
