BREAKING: Sanwo-Olu Presents 2021 Budget To Abolish Pension for Ex-Govs, Deputies

Former governors and deputies of Lagos state may soon see an end to the exorbitant pension being paid to them.

controversial pension law for former governors of Lagos state and deputies is at the brink of being abolished.

TruetellsNigeria reports that this was made public by Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday.

He announced his intention to repeal the Public Office Holder (Payment of Pension Law 2007), which provides for payment of pension and other entitlements to former Governors and their Deputies.

He made this known while presenting the 2021 budget to the Lagos State House of Assembly
