Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Bayo Osinowo, is dead.
He passed away at a Lagos hospital on Monday. It was gathered that he had been battling with an illness for several days.
Osinowo, popularly known as Pepperito, was a 4-time honourable in the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Kosofe constituency 1.
He defeated an incumbent senator, Gbenga Ashafa, in the 2019 primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos East.
In the February 23, 2019, senatorial election, he was elected Senator. He was subsequently appointed Chairman, Senate Committee on Commerce, Industries and Investment.
