President Muhammadu Buahari has postponed his medical trip to London, UK amidst criticisms from Nigerians on Twitter as doctors’ strike loom.
Buhari had scheduled to leave for London for medical check-up on Friday.
Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman, had said the scheduled trip was a follow-up to the president’s last visit.
The reason the trip was cancelled was not disclosed by the presidency.
The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) had on Thursday issued a fresh four-week ultimatum to the federal and state governments to address its demands including the payment of hazard allowances, hence it will embark on another industrial action.
Therefore, Buhari’s scheduled medical follow-up has come with a lot of critisim.
