The Bayelsa State House of Assembly has approved Governor Douye Diri’s request of N2.9 billion loan to buy operational vehicles for him, the deputy governor and other top government functionaries.
According to Sunnewsonline, the loan was granted after the immediate past speaker, Monday Bubou-Obolo moved the motion.
The loan which has a repayment tenure of 36 months, received unianimous support from the lawmakers before its approval.
This is coming few days after the Supreme Court upheld a court judgement which sacked David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress as Governor of the State.
