Barcelona have announced that they have reached an agreement with National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Bay FC for the transfer of Asisat Oshoala, whose contract ends on June 30, 2024.

In a statement late Thursday night, Barcelona confirmed Oshoala’s departure.

Before her exit, Oshoala scored 117 goals in 162 games for the Spanish women’s team.

Her goals mean she is the fourth-highest scorer in the history of Barcelona’s women’s side.
The Lagos-born striker arrived during the winter window in January 2019 and in the middle of the season played a total of 11 games and scored eight goals.
In her first full season, 2019/20, she scored 30 goals in 32 games.
In the 2020/21 season, she played 37 games and scored 22 goals, while in the 2021/22 season, she played 28 games and also broke the twenty-goal barrier with a total of 22.
In the 2022/23 campaign, Oshoala played 40 games and found the back of the net 27 times.
This season, the reigning CAF women’s Player of the Year has scored eight goals in 14 games played.

She leaves Barcelona with 14 trophies which comprises two Champions Leagues, four League titles, three Queen’s Cups, four Spanish Super Cups and one Catalan Cup.
