What efforts is the Nigerian government making to alleviate the effects of the Coronavirus epidemic in Nigerians and their businesses?
This question has been on the minds of many people because of how devastating the pandemic has been for health and for the global economy.
To answer these questions, the Nigerian government has announced two major support programs.
1. Guaranteed Off-take Stimulus Scheme (GoS)
2. The General MSME Grant
In this article, I will explain these programs and how to access them as data from the federal government shows.
This program was set up to provide protection to the medium with small industries. As the name suggests, the program is designed to ensure that medium and small enterprises are supported.
Only 100,000 small and medium enterprises will benefit from this program.
States that will benefit from the grant
1. Lagos – 3,880
2. Kano – 3,280
3. Abia – 3,080
4. Other States (Each) – 2,640
1. The applicant must be a Nigerian.
2. The applicant must be registered with the CAC
3. The applicant must have a BVN and a bank account.
4. Applicant must have at least 2 employees
5. The applicant must arrange for production under NAFDAC and SON.
This support can be applied through this website: www.survivalfund.gov.ng
Under this program, each person will be given 50,000 to develop his or her profession. Only 100,000 people across the state will receive the grant.
