Police have taken a 38-year-old Georgia man into custody for allegedly murdering a Nigerian woman who refused to marry him.
Antonio Wilson, 38, is charged with murdering a woman he met on a dating app.
The victim, Fabiola Thomas, 39, was found in a bathtub by a roommate in June , according to the medical examiner, her death a homicide on October 24.
Wilson’s first court appearance is scheduled for next week.
Antonio Wilson was arrested on October 25 for the June 8 killing of Fabiola Thomas, 39, Roswell Police spokesman Sean Thompson told DailyMail.com.
Thomas’ roommate discovered the body in the bathtub at the Atlanta Newtown Apartments and alerted police.
‘The male caller was frantic and hysterical,’ Thompson said. ‘He advised that his roommate was in his bathtub and that something bad had happened to her.’
The medical examiner ruled the cause of death as a homicide a day before Wilson’s arrest.
‘The investigation involved numerous interviews and search warrants in Fulton and Clayton Counties,’ Thompson said in a statement.
Police say Thomas and Wilson met on the dating app, Plenty of Fish.
‘They met a few times,’ Thompson said. ‘[It was] nothing serious.’
