Accra, Ghana Agog As Africans Gather To Celebrate Africa’s Living Legend Hall of Fame

 

This Saturday, Accra will host one of the continent’s most prestigious celebrations of achievement as induction of Africa’s Living Legend Hall of Fame takes place again on February 21, 2026.

The gala dedicated to honoring individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to humanity and human capital development has drawn guests from across Africa and beyond for an evening that celebrates heritage, service and leadership.

Under the theme of acknowledging pioneers who have paved the way for future generations, this year’s ceremony will place a spotlight on the recipients for their invaluable contributions. This year’s recipients join an esteemed roll call of past recipients whose works have advanced humanitarian causes and strengthened communities across the continent.

According to High Chief Darlinghtyn Momoh Umoru, the Director of Honours, “the event is free to the public with prior registration. We encourage attendees to arrive at least an hour early to ensure a smooth entry”.

Darlinghtyn went on to reveal that, In addition to the awards presentation, the programme includes interviews with recipients for media and guests who wish to cover the ceremony. “It’s an opportunity that could foster an inspiring exchange of ideas and amplify the stories of Africa’s changemakers”, says High Chief Darlinghtyn Momoh Umoru.

A special dinner night, also part of the celebrations, will be held the same evening at the AH Hotel in East Legon. The dinner will feature distinguished award recipient, designed to provide networking opportunities for established leaders and emerging talent across the continent.

As final preparations are completed, anticipation is high for a memorable celebration of African excellence.

With influential figures and rising leaders convening in Accra, the Africa’s Living Legend Award ceremony is poised to be a highlight of the year in recognizing the individuals whose dedication and vision continue to shape the continent’s future.
