Abuja’s River Park Warns FCT Residents Against Ongoing Fraudulent Sale In The Estate

The management of the River Park Estate in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, JonahCapital Nigeria Ltd has cautioned residents against falling victim to fraudulent transactions allegedly taking place within the estate.

The estate management, in a statement issued by its Chief Executive Officer, Kojo Ansah, disclosed that some individuals had been unlawfully marketing and selling plots of land in the estate despite an ongoing legal dispute over the property.

Ansah warned the public to beware of fraudulent land transactions in River Park Estate.

“The general public is hereby warned to exercise extreme caution in dealing with certain individuals who are fraudulently marketing and selling parcels of land within River Park Estate.

“Be informed that these lands are currently under legal dispute, and any transactions carried out with unauthorised parties may result in serious legal and financial consequences.

“Please be informed that JonahCapital Nigeria Ltd is the exclusive and lawful allottee of River Park Estate, hence, anyone interested in acquiring property within the estate is strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence, including but not limited to; a) Verifying title status at the Department of Lands, b) Confirming legal proceedings at the High Court of the FCT and Federal High Court, c) authenticating the identity of directors of JonahCapital Nigeria Ltd with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

“Prior to making any buying decision in River Park Estate, consult your lawyer or contact JonahCapital Nigeria Ltd for verification,” it read.

The statement comes amid growing concerns over the rising number of fraudulent property deals in Abuja and other major cities, with unsuspecting buyers often losing millions of naira to land scams.

JonahCapital urged the public to remain vigilant and only deal with verified representatives to avoid being defrauded.
