Following the yuletide reduction in the transport fares across all parks and garages in the country and the Federal Capital Territory, and with the commendations here and there on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the reduction, Mr Stephen Adedayo, former President Tinubu’s photograher is of the believe this is the beginning of great things to happen to Nigeria.
Mr Stephen who was also the personal photographer to late Chief Kudirat Abiola, the heroine of June 12, 19993, also charged the public to note that the reduction of fares nationwide is just a tip in the icebag.
According to him, “Tinubu will become another Maradona as far as governance is concerned in this country because he is loaded with many goodies that will alleviate the suffering of masses in this country, just let us bear with him for a while” Adedayo said .
The Ado-Ekiti born Photographer, in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists on Sunday in Lagos and Abuja, maintained that the small time he shared with President Tinubu when when he was the Governor of Lagos State opened his eyes to how administratively gifted the President is.
He said, ” this is another mercurial administrator as far as governance is concerned in a tough nation like Nigeria. All and sundry would even clamour for him to do a 3rd term when he is done with his second term.
“All I will advise from our people for now is patience, patience and patience. Let all of us key to his plans and policies. This man will turn around this country Nigeria”, Adedayo retorted.
It would be recalled the Federal Government on Thursday granted a 50 percent slash on air tickets to various destinations within the country after President Bola Tinubu approved the commencement of same percentage discount of the fares by road, effective from December 24, 2023, to January 4, 2024.
“But, at least, as it stands, I see it as a good step in the right direction toward alleviating hardship that people are going through now in the country,” according to Adedayo.
He urged the private sector to keep partnering with the government in providing succour to the masses in the country.
“ The pronouncement was made a few days ago and it is already being implemented. All the bottlenecks have been taken care of. So, it is good.
“This is capable of restoring the confidence of the people in the ability of the government for capacity to work the talks.
“What we can say about the private sector regarding this project now is there is a kind of mutual trust between the private sector and the government, as a kind of synergy,” he added.
Adedayo pointed out various commendation from the public in respect to this new policy noting that it takes such government ideas to restore confidence in the people.
He however appealed to the drivers to drive gently and ensure their vehicles are well-serviced to avoid a breakdown on the roads.
He concluded that Nigerians have not seen anything as far as governance is concerned because Tinubu in a matter of months in the new Year would turn things around .
