Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has expressed optimism about the country’s progress, stating that Nigeria is in a better place today than it was years ago.
He made this known during an interview on Wazobia TV, where the discussion touched on one of his earlier songs, “E Be Like Say,” which many believe still reflects current political realities.
Responding to the observation, the veteran singer acknowledged that while some challenges persist, the nation has recorded noticeable development over time.
Speaking on his role in politics, 2Baba revealed that he had previously supported a political campaign in a capacity that required neutrality. Despite that experience, he emphasized his commitment to contributing to national growth in his own way.
He added that he continues to promote Nigeria’s image positively wherever he goes, describing himself as a self-appointed ambassador of the country.
According to him, although progress is ongoing, he remains determined to play his part in making Nigeria work better for its citizens.
