O⁰Some of the malicious Apps taking up your memory may be redundant, while other apps may be violating your privacy.
One important thing you should do is to ensure that the apps you’re downloading are not a threat to you or your device.
Malware is any software intentionally designed to cause disruption to a computer, server, client, or computer network, leak private information, gain unauthorized access to information or systems, deprive users access to information or which unknowingly interferes with the user’s computer security and privacy, – Wikipedia.
Those apps that hardly serve any purpose other than consuming battery, invade in your privacy and in turn occupy spaces on your phone cover many ranges:
Cleaning Apps
If you do need to clean the device often, you can do so by going to Settings > Storage > Cached data and clean the cache for all the applications. You can also clean the cache for individual applications by going to Settings > Applications > Downloaded and delete the cache of specific app. That’s pretty easy, right. Why do you need to install a separate app to clean the phone?
Antivirus
Once you carefully use your phone, you would not really need an Antivirus app to protect your phone. In fact, some of those supposed Antivirus Apps are virus themselves.
Google keeps a thorough and timely check on apps and Play Store detects the presence of malware in the apps and they get removed from the store. So, if you download apps only from Play Store, you should not worry about malware and you really do not need an antivirus app on your phone.
Battery Saving Apps
Instead of installing a battery saver app which won’t do anything on your phone, you can manually control the battery. Go to Settings > Battery and identify the power draining apps. If you are not using the app regularly, Force Stop it and enable when required. This way, you’re in charge!
RAM Savers
The supposed RAM Savers work in the background, consume RAM and drain your battery. You can stop background apps to boost your device memory. Android OS manages the RAM usage efficiently. Therefore, you do not need a third party RAM saving app.
Default Browsers
You don’t need range of browsers on your phone, if you’re not comfortable with the default browsers on your device, it’s advisable to uninstall the default web browsers and install the most reliable ones like Google Chrome available from Play Store for a smooth user experience.
